Power Into Practice is a unique program sponsored by Zoetis and is designed to enhance the medical and surgical excellence of key associate veterinarians who are 1-3 years post-graduation from veterinary school. The seminar is an intensive, hands-on small group training course with board certified specialists in the areas of anesthesia (to reaffirm the confidence of the veterinarian in dealing with common anesthetic protocol options), surgery (to give the recent graduate the surgical technical skills necessary to confidently manage frequently encountered surgical diseases in a stress-free teaching environment, dermatology (to consider lesion and pattern recognition as the basis for evaluation of the physical examination findings as well as learn how to complete a thorough dermatologic examination) and dentistry (to focus on client communication, pain management, instrument selection, use and care, recognition of oral pathology, local nerve blocks, treatment options for periodontal disease and surgical extractions).
