This program is custom designed and sponsored by Zoetis for hospital owners or tenured associates that seek to significantly advance their dental program within their hospital, to include enhancement of client communications for dental services and education, dental skills, reviewing software coding and service bundling as well as anesthetic risks and equipment considerations for the dental patient. The Dental CORPS is based on the five core competencies necessary for a thriving and rewarding dental program within your hospital: Client Communication, Oral Exam, Intraoral Radiography, Periodontal therapy and oral Surgery. Teamwork is emphasized throughout this program to help recognize key skills and strategies for success with your dental program. Seats will be filled by 2-person teams (1 Veterinarian and 1 technician per hospital. The biographical profile for target participants should be as follows: Tenured (or Key) associate veterinarians and owners of hospitals, 5+ years post-graduation from veterinary school, Have the authority (empowered) to make medical, protocol and financial decisions (if needed) upon returning to the hospital and advancing the dental franchise within the hospital; Lead technicians or technicians with primary responsibility (and interest) in dentistry within the hospital.
